How To Reach Moonrise Towers

By exploring the Gnoll-ridden roads of The Risen Roads, you will find a place called Waukeen's Rest. The Risen Roads are north of the Blighted Village, and Waukeen's Rest is located just farther north, down the southern path.

Waukeen's Rest is destroyed thanks to the Goblins. Baldur's Gate 3 is full of choices that affect the world around you, but while you couldn't prevent the attack on Waukeen's Rest, you can still save some people. Here's what you need to know.

How To Save The Counsellor
As you first walk into Waukeen's Rest, you will find a group of Flaming Fist soldiers trying to break down the doors to the burning building. You can use 9 Strength to help them bust it down. If you fail the Strength skill check, you can simply break the door down with basic attacks.
Make sure to save before entering the building, in case the ones who need saving die before you can get to them.
Traversing through the building will be difficult. Clouds of smoke will leave your characters coughing, and random explosions can occur. There are some Water Barrels in the building that you can use to your advantage.
You can follow the soldiers upstairs, but you will find yourself at a loss.
Once you pass the first bedroom, an explosion will erupt and begin slowly killing a random civilian locked in the room. You will also not be able to access the room the soldiers are trying to get to.
The best way to save the lady behind the door is by entering the building from a whole different location. Head back outside. There is an entrance to the right that is blocked by a large barrel. Break down this barrel with your basic attacks.
Once inside, you will need to reach the top floor. You can manipulate the wooden crates to the left to climb them, then jump to access the top floor.
You will be safe from here on out. Head towards the lady that needs saving. You will need your best Rogue to unlock the door leading to the room. The lady happens to not be the Grand Duke, but rather Counsellor Florrick.
How To Reach Moonrise Towers
Counsellor Florrick will thank you for rescuing her, but the soldiers still need to find the Grand Duke. The Counsellor declares the Grand Duke has been kidnapped by Drow and asks for your aid in rescuing him.
Councellor Florrick will reward you with the option of three special weapons, The Spellsparkler (Two-Handed Melee), The Joltshooter (Longbow), or The Sparky Points (Trident).
You can only choose one.
You will then have to make your way to Moonrise Towers. To reach Moonrise Towers you must enter the Shadow-Cursed Lands through three different locations.
Druid Halsin will share that the path through the mountains is full of darkness and a curse. Though The Underdark is dangerous and full of traps and malicious activity, Halsin claims it is the safest of choices.
To survive your journey to Moonrise, you will need a light source.

Last Light Inn
The next time you see Counsellor Florrick will be in Act 2. She can be found in a meeting room inside Last Light Inn, the only safe location in the Shadow-Cursed Lands.
Counsellor Florrick believes the Grand Duke is locked up in Moonrise Towers. Your main quest will have you reach Moonrise Towers regardless, so while you are there you might as well find the Grand Duke.
You will not find the Grand Duke until you reach Baldur's Gate.
Until then, you must find Zariel's Asset within Moonrise Towers. Zariel's Asset will allow you to save the Duke of Ravengard in Act 3.
